Tempest in Tampa

Tempest ‘N Tampa is an off-season robotics competition being held at the USF Sun Dome Arena, October 24th and 25th.

The event will use the 2008 FRC game challenge, OVERDRIVE on an official FIRST game field.

The Entry fee is 300$. We need Gunther in top shape and trained drivers.

Meeting on August 13 is from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

The meetings for the 18th and 25th have been cancelled.

"Our scheduled summer meetings have numerous conflicts with BCC classes, vacations, and family commitments. Therefore, we are canceling the meetings scheduled for the 18th and 25th of June. I apologize for the short notice. We will meet the week of August 11 with a tentative date of Wednesday August 13 from 5:30 to 7:00. We will work on programming, animation, specific part re-design, driving, plus pre-planning for the "Tempest in Tampa" trip and necessary paperwork distribution."

Our next meeting is June 11. From 5:30 to 7:00pm. Yes we are meeting over the summer and yes we are still meeting in the drafting lab! Duh!

June 11th:

• Working with EasyC on Gunther and hopefully the Vex robot (if we can get the darn thing to work)
• We still could use shirt designs and logos believe it or not.

Okay:

- May 21, a Wednesday. - 4:30-6:00 ; notice the extended time.

- We will be programming a Vex robot and Gunther.
- We are still working on shirt designs and team logos.
- 3d Studio Max is set up on 2 computers. The animation team (talking to you Ryan and Tyler) can get started learning that using the stock tutorials.

We need to:

• Really fix Gunther. We almost had him fixed today but at the last moment it was discovered there was some debree in an axel... yeaaah WHAT? WHO PUT THAT THERE! SCOTTYYYY!?!?!
• Do some more designing for the T-Shirts and team Logo. Monty and Julianna got some stuff printed out that we can work from! You don't even have to wait for the meeting to begin thinking about and drawing your ideas....
• Install 3d Studio Max 4 real.
• Perhaps some programming.
• Do things that I've forgotten to list.
• Dance ( > ' ' ) > ^ ( ' ' ) ^ < ( ' ' < )

Also, remember there is a $20 fee that is required required for the team T-Shirt and Safety goggles for the competition this year. You can bring it in anytime.
